Let’s make Haemul-jjim, a spicy Korean braised seafood dish that’s bold, aromatic, and packed with flavor.

Loaded with tender shrimp, squid, and clams, it’s simmered in a rich gochujang-based sauce and finished with crunchy bean sprouts. Perfect for seafood lovers!

Start by heating oil in a pan and stir-frying minced garlic and ginger. Add mixed seafood (like shrimp, mussels, and squid), then splash in 1 tbsp mirin. Toss in sliced onion and shallot.

For the sauce, mix 1 tbsp gochujang, 1 tbsp chili powder, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp sugar, and ½ tsp hondashi with a bit of water. Pour into the pan, stir everything together, and cover.

Add a generous handful of bean sprouts on top and steam everything for about 5 minutes until the seafood is cooked through and infused with flavor.
