Craving something sweet, salty, and comforting? Gamja Jorim is a classic Korean side dish featuring tender baby potatoes coated in a glossy soy-garlic glaze.
It’s simple, satisfying, and perfect with rice or on its own.
Boil 1½ lb of baby potatoes until fork-tender. In a pan, fry them in 2 tbsp of oil until golden. Add a sauce made from ¼ cup soy sauce, 3 tbsp honey (or syrup), 4 minced garlic cloves, ½ cup water, and 1 tsp gochugaru (optional). Simmer until the sauce thickens and coats the potatoes evenly, stirring often. Finish with 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds and garnish with chopped green onions.
Ready in under 30 minutes, these sweet-savory potatoes are soft inside, slightly crispy outside, and full of flavor.
Try it at home—it’s so easy and delicious! Full cooking video is below for your reference.
