HBO's Harry Potter remake has promoted itself as a book-faithful TV adaptation, but it will still need to find ways to stay unique. As beloved as the Warner Bros movies are, it has often been lamented that there wasn't time to include all the impactful aspects of Harry's full story.
Ultimately, this is the benefit of a TV remake, but simply adapting the books scene by scene won't be enough to make the upcoming series a success. Since this is a story many fans already know backward and forward, HBO will have to mix things up a bit.
