Let's be honest, folks. Isekai anime is getting a little predictable, isn't it? Hero gets summoned, acquires OP powers, builds a harem, saves the world.
Yawn. But hold onto your manga, because Haruka's isekai adventure is anything but typical.
Meet Haruka, the ultimate high school loner who'd rather spend his days buried in a book than socializing with his obnoxious classmates. So, when a summoning circle appears in his classroom, whisking his classmates away to a magical world, Haruka's reaction is.
..well, less than enthusiastic.
“Isekai’d? Great. Just in time for GTA 6 to drop,” Haruka mutters, his usual stoic expression morphing into one of mild annoyance.
But alas, fate (and a faulty summoning spell) had other plans. Despite Haruka's best efforts to avoid the whole "chosen hero" trope – including a valiant attempt to escape through the ceiling vents – he finds himself face-to-face with a flustered God.
Turns out, God's having a rough day. He’s accidentally summoned Haruka late, meaning all the good abilities are gone. The leftovers? Think Minecraft villager skills, gambling dice, and a stick for a weapon. Not exactly the stuff of legends.
"Look, kid, I'm sorry, okay?" God pleads, beads of sweat forming on his forehead. "How about I give you all the trash skills? Just please, don't tell my boss about this."
Desperate to get rid of Haruka (and avoid a divine performance review), God dumps the remaining skills on him and sends him hurtling into another world.
Haruka, ever the pragmatist, quickly makes the best of his bizarre situation. Thanks to his unlimited inventory (courtesy of that handy villager pouch), he sets up a cozy cave base, discovers a hidden talent for cooking mushrooms, and even manages to level up by beating the snot out of a few unsuspecting goblins.
"Who needs a harem when you've got a perfectly good frying pan and a stack of beef jerky?" Haruka muses, settling into his solitary existence.
But even in a magical world, one can't escape the echoes of the past. Haruka soon discovers his classmates are scattered throughout this new realm, each forming their own little cliques and hero squads.
“Ugh, not them again,” Haruka groans, watching his classmates from the safety of the shadows. "I came to this world for peace and quiet, not a high school reunion."
Will Haruka succumb to the siren call of social interaction? Or will he embrace his destiny as the ultimate solo player, conquering this new world on his own terms?
One thing's for sure: Haruka's isekai journey is about to get a whole lot weirder (and probably a lot more hilarious). Stay tuned!
